    FORGET AND FORGIVE
    -------------------
"There was a man who had too much to drink at an office party and made a complete fool of himself under the influence of alcohol. He was brought home unconscious and put to bed by his wife.He awoke the next morning ashamed and miserable, and begged his wife to orgive him.
Forgive she did-but forget she would not!As days went by,she would constantly remind him of the shameful incident which he so desperately wished to forget. In the end, the man was so humiliated he said to her "I thought you would forgive and forget what I did!"
"It is true I have forgiven an forgotten"the wife assured him."But I do not want you to forget that I have forgiven and forgotten"

When we forgive we must also forget;we can not hold on to it like a badge of honour and pride!

  2. An article which I received:

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to chose a successor to take over the business. Instead of choosing one of his directors or his children, he decided to do something different.

He called all the young executives in his company together.

"It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO," he said. "I have
decided to choose one of you."
The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to
give each one of you a seed today - a very special seed. I want you to
plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what
you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants
that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a
    seed.

He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a
pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed.

Every day, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about
three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds
and the plants that were beginning to grow. Jim kept checking his seed, but
    nothing ever grew.

Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing. By now, others
were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt
    like a failure.

Six months went by - still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed
his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim
didn't say anything to his colleagues, however. He just kept watering and
fertilizing the soil - he so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought
their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that he wasn't
going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what
    happened.

Jim felt sick at his stomach. It was going to be the most embarrassing
moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right.

He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at
the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful in
all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his
colleagues laughed. A few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young
    executives.

Jim just tried to hide in the back.

"My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you have grown," said the CEO.

"Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty
pot. He ordered the financial director to bring him to the front.

Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will
    have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed.
    Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then
announced to the young executives, "Here is your next Chief Executive! His
    name is Jim!"

Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed. How could he be
the new CEO the others said?

Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a
    seed.

    ----continued

  3. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me
today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not
    possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers.

"When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed
for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty
to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be
    the new Chief Executive!"

If you plant honesty, you will reap trust
If you plant goodness, you will reap friends.
If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.
If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment
If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective.
If you plant hard work, you will reap success.
If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation.

    Thanks,

  4. What is Shardh and Why we should do it?
    ===========================================
“Shradh” means remembering our ancestors and donating food, clothes, and articles in their name. Poors and Brahmins should be served with food and dakshina. It is another way of repaying the debts of our ancestors (Pitr). Shradhs are observed for a period of 16 days. During this period one should not do any auspicious task like marriage, starting a new business, fixing a marriage etc. Reason: Its not like that departed souls will cause any harm to us. They were our relatives, how they can provide harm to us? Only reason for not indulging in auspicious tasks is that we have to show them that during these 16 days we are fully concentrating on them, seeking their blessings, remembering them.

Performing Shradh will satisfy the wishes and desires of our ancestors which were not fulfilled when they were alive. If soul of a deceased person wishes that ‘someone should perform Shradh for me' and if it does not get fulfilled from the expected descendant, then it becomes unhappy due to non-fulfilment of the desire. Such soul can transform into an evil spirit (a type of negative energy) and cause distress to its relatives for not performing the ritual of Shradh. Family performing the shradh will be benefited and will get the blessings of their ancestors.

Happy new year sir!I was out of station for the past few days, so i was unable to take part in your blog.
Sir, don't think about your last part of your life now.We want your moral guidance always and we want it to be continued for our children also. But still, we will pray for your last stage of your life to be smooth.Even though your children are far away from you,GOD will make you feel the care and love of your children in that last moment.Because GOD IS ALMIGHTY.He can do anything, including our power of thinking. For the valuable services you do and also for your kind heart ,GOD will take care of you till the last second of your life time.He will serve you through somebody else during that time, as you were serving HIM these days by concerning about the needy and insane people.

  8. The Power of Chanting Om
1.The chanting of Om drives away all worldly thoughts and removes distraction and infuses new vigour in the body.
2.When you feel depressed, chant Om fifty times and you will be filled with new vigour and strength. The chanting of Om is a powerful tonic. When you chant Om, you feel you are the pure, all pervading light and consciousness.
3.Those who chant Om will have a powerful, sweet voice. Whenever you take a stroll, you can chant Om. You can also sing Om in a beautiful way. The rythmic pronunciation of Om makes the mind serene and pointed, and infuses the spiritual qualifications which ensure self-realization.
4.Those who do meditation of Om daily will get tremendous power. They will have lustre in their eyes and faces.

  11. Once upon a time, there lived a King who, despite his luxurious lifestyle, was neither happy nor content.

One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he worked.

This fascinated the King; why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the Land, unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy.

The King asked the servant, ' Why are you so happy?

'The man replied, ' Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, and me & my family don't need too much - just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies which we are getting from our daily wage.

'The king was not satisfied with that reply.

Later in the day, he sought the advice of his most trusted advisor.

After hearing the King's woes and the servant's story, the advisor said, ' Your Majesty, I believe that the servant has not been made part of The 99 Club.

''The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?' the King inquired.

The advisor replied, “Your Majesty, to truly know what The 99 Club is, place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep.”

So the king did like wise. When the servant saw the bag, he took it into his house.

When he opened the bag, he let out a great shout of joy... So many gold coins.

He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced that there were 99 coins.

He wondered, “What could've happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!”

He looked everywhere he could, but that final coin was elusive. Finally, exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder than ever to earn that gold coin and complete his collection.

    >From that day, the servant's life was changed. He was overworked, horribly grumpy, and castigated his family for not helping him make that 100th gold coin. He stopped singing while he worked.

Witnessing this drastic transformation, the King was puzzled.

When he sought his advisor's help, the advisor said, “Your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined The 99 Club.” He continued, “ The 99 Club is a name given to those people who have enough to be happy but are never contented, because they're always yearning and striving for that extra 1 telling to themselves: 'Let me get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life .”

We can be happy, even with very little in our lives, but the minute we're given something bigger and better, we want even more!

We lose our sleep, our happiness, we hurt the people around us; all these as a price for our growing needs and desires.

That's what joining The 99 Club is all about.

    so, Aal Izz Well

Once I heard the same story in different cast.
A clerk of a banker was carrying ruppe note
bundles to his office after a collection drive.
One bundle of Rs50/-denomination slipped on the public road. Out of that the first note separated from the bundle and was carried to far off place where a poor man piked it up. He was so happy, thanked God and had lunch and dinner for that day.The rest of the 99 notes
was found by a wealthy man. He started his search of the missing note.He could not get it. Instead of happiness for getting a fortune
the man was sad he lost 50/- which "legiti mmately"his. Ha haa haaaa!

  13. Thanks Sir.

    Here's another article.
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet.
He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help."
There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and
dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it
around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that
everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money
to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign
came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps
and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning?
    What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."
What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it."

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign
simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were
so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the
    second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative.
Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

----------NICE. IF THE COMMUNICATION IS NOT GOOD IT MAY CREATE PROBLEMS.An old man was in his last days.Realizing the end was very near, the son of that sick old man sent telegrams to other relatives about his father's conitioon. The telgram was:"father sinking". The telegraph clerk never knew the meaning of "sink". She thought that was a spelling mistake by the sender and sent the corrected telegram as "father singing" The old man was a good singer too. So the relatives thought that the oldman has recoverd and happily singing! So no one turned up before his death. They moved out only after they received the straight forwrd communication "father passed away".

  15. I would like to share a few words about the SOLAR ECLIPSE to come on 15.1.10. The main stars afflicted are::

    KRITIKA,
    UTTARAPHALGUNI (UTTARA)
    UTTARASHADA (UTHIRADOM)
    POORVASHADA (POORADOM)
    SHARAVANA (THIRUVONAM)

This is a very long annular solar eclipse and a unique eclipse - to happen on January 15, 2010.

The next such a long duration solar eclipse will occur only on 23rd December 3043 AD

In fact, if we take the total duration of the eclipse phenomenon, it is between 11:06 hours IST to 15:25 hours IST - a total of more than 4 hours!.

We give below some points which are good to be followed during this period from good health point of view::

    1) Avoid eating solid foods after 7 a.m. IST (at least 4 hours before the eclipse duration).

    2) Fast during the duration of the eclipse. Even you are advised not drink water. Do maximum meditation and prayers by sitting on a piece of cloth and facing east direction.

    4) Any activity that requires intense focus of mind can be performed during eclipse and you will see the good results for yourself.

    5) If possible take bath before and the end of the eclipse.

    6) Those who do not have both the parents or one parent - you may think of that departed parent and pray for his/her blessings.

    7) If it is feasible do donate food or clothes as charity to a few people after the eclipse.

    8) VERY IMPORTANT - If any of your family members or relatives are pregnant -- please inform them to stay in the house during the eclipse period and close all the windows and doors. Safety measures to see that neither the Sun and sun rays must not fall on them -- since old texts say that these rays could afflict the child in the womb.

Kindly share this message to all near and dear ones and friends.

There is a curve called failure,
    A loop called confusion,
    speed bums called friends,
    red lights called enemies,
    caution lights called family,
you will have flats called jobs.

But if you have a spare called determination,
    an engine called perseverance,
    insurance called faith,
you will make it to a place called success.

  19. Hospitalwindow.
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room’s only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.
Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by.
Although the other man couldn’t hear the band – he could see it. In his mind’s eye as the gentleman by th! e window portrayed it with descriptive words.
    Days and weeks passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed.
It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window
The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.
She said, “Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.”

------------GOOD ONE.I REMEMBER TO HAVE POSTED THE SAME STORY IN EARLIER MONTHS

  21. Once, in a little pond, in the muddy water under the lily pads, there lived a little water beetle in a community of water beetles. They lived a simple and comfortable life in the pond with few disturbances and interruptions.

Once in a while, sadness would come to the community when one of their fellow beetles would climb the stem of a lily pad and would never be seen again. They knew when this happened; their friend was dead, gone forever.

Then, one day, one little water beetle felt an irresistible urge to climb up that stem. However, he was determined that he would not leave forever. He would come back and tell his friends what he had found at the top.

When he reached the top and climbed out of the water onto the surface of the lily pad, he was so tired, and the sun felt so warm, that he decided he must take a nap. As he slept, his body changed and when he woke up, he had turned into a beautiful blue-tailed dragonfly with broad wings and a slender body designed for flying.

So, fly he did! And, as he soared he saw the beauty of a whole new world and a far superior way of life to what he had never known existed.

Then he remembered his beetle friends and how they were thinking by now he was dead. He wanted to go back to tell them, and explain to them that he was now more alive than he had ever been before. His life had been fulfilled rather than ended.

But, his new body would not go down into the water. He could not get back to tell his friends the good news. Then he understood that their time would come, when they, too, would know what he now knew.

So, he raised his wings and flew off into his joyous new life!

---------- Swami Vivekananda in his Chicago address said a story:A toad was living in a well. He has not seen the outside world in his life time.He was happy with his suroundings and never attempted to see beyond his little well. One day a big frog who was living in the sea fell inside the well. The toad asked the new comer "where did you come from?" The sea frog said "from the sea" The toad asked:"Is your sea as big as my well?" "Sea is very big!"said the sea frog."How much big?"asked the well toad.Sea frog simply could add the word "very" umpteen times;but could not explain. In Tamil there is a proverb "Kandavar viNdilar viNdavar kaNdilar".we all live like the water beetle or the well toad in our limited sphere of knowledge. God head is so vast that we can not comprehend with our limited knowledge of spirituality. None can explain the highest truth in mere words. One has to experience it and become silent.

  23. I have been following this blog for sometime now. I like the stories and articles in this thread. The most interesting is still the predictions thread. I read it once in every few days and go through a gamut of emotions.

Sadness because there are so many people who are going through such serious problems...and yet we go through life without thanking God enough for the things we have.

Anger because people make it hard to be nice these days . No wonder people like Mr. Krishnan are becoming more of an exception rather than the rule. I come across so many posts where people ORDER him to do predictions forgetting that he is doing it as a favor and without getting anything in return.

Disappointment when I find people get angry when Mr. Krishnan does not answer their posts for the n'th time. They forget that he helped them sincerely the first few times and there are others more in need of his services. How can people be so self absorbed ?

but finally...Happiness that there is a ray of hope ...world is not all selfish and people still do believe in selfless service.

I admire your patience Mr. Krishnan....you really are an inspiration.

---------Thank you for your nice words."All praise to Allah!(God)"as Muslim puts it.The gist of Geetha is also the same. "Fame or blame, succeess or failure,do not stop your chosen path prepondering over the results. Results are to be offered to me and do your duty with out attaching any emotion to results."-says Lord Krishna.

Some get angry that I do not respond the way
they want for themselves. The beauty of life is the future is hidden from all of us.When a thing is hidden, people's curiosity to unravel the hidden matter increases. Hence astrologers, the professional ones, thrive on that curiosity.I have no axe to grind. So I do not get angry, when people much younger to me turn their face.

Astrology is only a mild guidance and counselling. In astrology time of birth is very important. but corret time is elusive. No two watch show the same time. That being the case, the astrological predictions have their own
limitations. Further if we worship, god will not punish us even though the planets are not well disposed.

  25. Nothing happens by accident...

If one day when you wake up, you would find on your bed a beautifully wrapped present with delicate bows, you would open it before even washing your face, curious about what is inside....

Maybe what you find is something you do not like very much...then you would put away the box wondering what to do with the present...

But, if the next day you find another present, you would open it also and, if this time you find something inside that you like very much....

A memory from someone that is far away....a beautiful clothing you saw on a window shop...the keys to a new car....a beautiful winter coat...or just a beautiful flower from somebody that remembered you.....

This happens every day, but we do not realize it...

Every day when we wake up, it is there, before us, a present sent to us by God....a whole day to use in the best possible way

Sometimes it comes with problems, issues that we do not seem to be able to solve. Sometimes it comes with sadness, deception, even tears...

But other times it comes full of surprises, happiness, success and achievements. .....

What is important is that every day we receive a present, wrapped especially for us while we sleep: THE NEXT DAY.

We are presented this box with colored bows, no matter what the day brings...... ..

That day when we wake up every morning is a PRESENT.....

The present that life gives us.

It is not always what we wish or what we hope for......

But it is the best for us, what we need most, what we have to learn.....what we need to grow...

BE HAPPY,IT'S ONE WAY OF BEING WISE
